We are delighted that SMEEF manager Sarah Brown is taking part in the first UK Ocean and Coastal Futures “Blue Finance 2025″ conference at The Royal Geographical Society in London in September. She joins an impressive gathering of the key players in the marine sector, bringing government, ocean sustainability and finance specialists together including the Crown Estate, W.W.F. and the European Bank.
The “Investing in Ocean Sustainability” event is responding to the growing realisation that marine health can only be restored with both private and public investment. The conference will explore finance solutions and promote collaborative approaches to directing capital towards sustainable investment.
Sarah is on the panel discussion for the session “The scale imperative – mobilizing capital for ocean recovery”, her inclusion highlights the importance of the innovative model of grant funding that SMEEF has been pioneering in recent years.
