The Kilchoan Estate in collaboration with Seawilding have released 24,000 juvenile oysters in four locations across the Loch Melfort shorelines, creating a resilient population. Current data show that the population is growing well with a mortality rate of under 5%. They are also offering free training courses once a year, in partnership with Seawilding, teaching community members how to conduct biodiversity surveys
