Open Seas were keen to expand their survey capability to support marine restoration across Scotland and purchased a Pro ROV and battery pack with their grant. Surveys of herring spawning grounds in the NE and the SW regions of Scotland both proved useful in providing data to support marine planning.
In 2021 SMEEF was able to provide a grant of £6,000 to support this work using resources from the Nature Restoration Fund.
