Good research underpins good restoration and enhancement actions and so SMEEF has included ‘Strategic Research’ as a theme in our grant giving strategy. This is a developing part of our programme and in the coming year we aim to secure more funding and progress more strategic projects in partnership with a range of specialists and academics. Our Strategic Research theme will involve commissioned projects with academic partners as well as direct funding and competitive grant rounds.
