A range of organisational may already being doing considerable monitoring in your area and you should check to see if it is relevant and helpful for your project. For example SEPA may have water quality or flood data, they may also hold information about Controlled Activities Regulations (CAR) licences locally which could be useful. NatureScot may have biological data about the area or about sites adjacent to your area which are analogous, likewise the Scottish Government’s Marine Directorate may hold useful data particularly about fisheries.
