The Marine Alliance for Science and Technology for Scotland (MASTS) is a consortium of organisations engaged in marine science and represents the majority of Scotland’s marine research capacity. This pooling of marine research talent includes more than 750 researchers. Their experience and expertise is an invaluable resource for marine and coastal restoration in Scotland and we encourage you to use the wealth of published research to give your project the best chance of success.
Often MASTS can help by pairing a project with relevant experts and early career researchers. They often try to do this for free but you should be aware that expertise needs to be paid for and aim to include this as part of your fundraising.
A variety of published scientific research is also available through Google Scholar, without the need for an academic journal subscription, but extra caution must be taken on the credibility of the paper and source.
