British Divers Marine Life Rescue’s mission is to provide assistance to any aquatic (marine and freshwater) animal in need of help. It does this through the training of specialist marine mammal medics and deploying them around the country. The development of a mobile control room will hugely improve both reach and safety and comfort of the rescuers as they help Scottish rescue attempts.
In 2021/22 the marine element of the Nature Restoration Fund was administered by the SMEEF team. This enabled grants to reach more marine focused projects including BDMLR.
