Glasgow Science Centre, Clyde Floating Reedbed Project
This project will create a floating estuarine habitat in the Canting Basin adjacent to GSC, using a versatile modular system. The floating habitat will increase biodiversity and visual amenity, showcase environmental sustainability and encourage community conversations around the future vision of the Clyde.
In 2022/23 the marine element of the Nature Restoration Fund was administered by the SMEEF team. This enabled grants to reach more marine focused projects including the GSC.
